**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Conduct site surveys to determine exact locations and measurements of structures, boundaries, and topographical features.
- Perform setting out duties for construction works including buildings, roads, and utilities.
- Interpret architectural and engineering plans and transfer them to the physical environment.
- Utilize GPS, total stations, levels, and other surveying instruments accurately.
- Prepare detailed reports, maps, and drawings from survey data.
- Monitor and verify alignment, elevation, and other geometric aspects of construction projects.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure survey data meets project needs.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all surveying activities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and construction regulations.
- Assist in resolving any discrepancies or issues found during construction.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a construction or land surveyor (typically 2+ years).
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
- Strong knowledge of construction and engineering principles.
- Attention to detail with excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license (if site travel is required).

**Preferred Skills**:

- Experience with drones or laser scanning (LiDAR) for surveys.
- Knowledge of local land use and zoning laws.
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) practices.

**Working Conditions**:

- Primarily site-based; may involve working in varying weather conditions.
- May require occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project needs.
