English Teacher

**Responsibilities**:

- Curriculum Development and Delivery:

- Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans aligned with the curriculum standards ([e.g., CBSE, ICSE, State Board, IB]).
- Teach a range of English language skills, including reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension.
- Introduce students to various genres and periods of literature, fostering appreciation and critical analysis.
- Utilize a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies to cater to different learning styles.
- Create a dynamic and interactive classroom environment that encourages student participation and discussion.
- Assessment and Evaluation:

- Assess student progress through a variety of methods, including assignments, quizzes, tests, projects, presentations, and class participation.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their learning and growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Collaborate with colleagues on assessment strategies and curriculum alignment.
- Classroom Management and Student Support:

- Establish and maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Implement effective classroom management techniques to ensure student engagement and minimize disruptions.
- Identify and address individual student learning needs and provide appropriate support and differentiation.
- Foster a culture of respect, inclusivity, and collaboration among students.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Professional Development and Collaboration:

- Stay updated on current trends and best practices in English language education.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff on curriculum development, school initiatives, and student support.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative school culture.
- Other Responsibilities:

- Supervise students during activities and breaks as required.
- Participate in school events and extracurricular activities as needed.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in English Literature, Language, Education, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
- A recognized teaching qualification/certification (e.g., B.Ed.).
- Proven experience teaching English language and literature at the [specify grade levels] level.
- Strong command of the English language (both written and spoken) with excellent grammar and vocabulary.
- Deep knowledge and appreciation of English literature from various periods and genres.
- Familiarity with different teaching methodologies and assessment techniques.
