**Responsibilities**:

- Curriculum Development and Delivery:

- Develop and implement engaging and comprehensive lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum and relevant educational standards (e.g., CBSE, ICSE, State Board).
- Deliver clear and concise instruction on a wide range of biology topics, including but not limited to cell biology, genetics, ecology, anatomy, physiology, and evolution.
- Adapt teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities of students.
- Incorporate technology and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning and engagement.
- Organize and conduct laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Develop and maintain teaching materials, including worksheets, assignments, and presentations.
- Classroom Management:

- Create and maintain a positive, respectful, and disciplined learning environment.
- Establish and enforce classroom rules and procedures.
- Manage student behavior effectively and address any disciplinary issues according to school policies.
- Assessment and Evaluation:

- Assess student learning through various methods, including assignments, quizzes, tests, projects, and practical examinations.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their learning and growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
- Communicate student progress with parents and guardians during parent-teacher meetings or as needed.
- Student Support and Guidance:

- Provide academic support and guidance to students.
- Identify students who are struggling and implement appropriate intervention strategies.
- Encourage student participation in science-related extracurricular activities, such as science clubs or competitions.
- Foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and scientific inquiry among students.
- Professional Development and Collaboration:

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in biology and educational practices through professional development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other teachers, department heads, and school administrators to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
- Participate in school meetings, workshops, and other school-related activities.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the science curriculum and teaching resources.
- Laboratory Management:

- Organize and maintain laboratory equipment and materials.
- Ensure the safe storage and disposal of chemicals and biological specimens.
- Monitor and manage the use of laboratory resources effectively.
- Other Responsibilities:

- Supervise students during field trips or other school-related events.
- Adhere to all school policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Zoology, Botany, Microbiology, or a related field. A Master's degree is often preferred.
- A Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree or equivalent teaching qualification is essential.
- Prior teaching experience in a school setting is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of biology concepts and principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in using technology for teaching and administrative tasks.
- A passion for teaching and fostering a love for science in students.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Hindi or other regional languages may be an advantage depending on the school's location.
