Job Overview:
The Conventional Underwriter plays a pivotal role in the meticulous review, conditioning, and underwriting of mortgage loans, ensuring adherence to established policies, procedures, and relevant guidelines. The incumbent scrutinizes all documentation for accuracy and completeness.

Key

**Required Skills**:
Looking for 4+ years of Experience.

Proficient in Income Calculation and Debt-to-Income (DTI) Ratio Calculation.

Expertise in the 4C's framework (Credit, Capacity, Collateral, and Capital).

Familiarity with Credit Report Analysis & LOX (Letter of Explanation).

Knowledgeable about Credit Bureaus, Documents required for loan approval, and various account types.

Job Roles and Responsibilities:
Evaluate all essential loan data, reports, and inspections to ensure that the collateral aligns with investor and company acceptability standards.

Demonstrate proficiency in Lending & Underwriting Guidelines, Credit & Income Analysis, Cash Flow Analysis, Risk Assessment, Loan-to-Value Ratios, and Debt-to-Income Ratios.

Review all documents related to the borrower’s Credit, Capacity, Collateral, and Capital.

Calculate assets required for closing and reserves as per guidelines.

Make independent decisions regarding loan acceptance and risk, in accordance with HUD, company, and investor guidelines.

Provide final approval underwriting for mortgage loans.

Complete all necessary paperwork and forms promptly and accurately, preparing required documentation.

Expedite sign-off on conditions within the timeline set by management.

Collaborate with staff and management to find solutions for escalated loans.

May be tasked with making recommendations to improve Internal Audit’s policies and practices.

Manage loans using all functions of Encompass.

Effectively communicate underwriting decisions with processors and advisors.

Maintain a high level of customer service and communication with other departments.

Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Qualification & Experience:
Degree or Equivalent

Minimum of 4 years of experience in conventional/government end-to-end underwriting.

Proficient in all 4C’s of Underwriting (Asset, Income, Credit, and Collateral).

Familiarity with the US Mortgage Process (Night Shifts only).

Hybrid work environment.

**Salary**: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
