About the Role

Join our Underwriting Support team and play a key role in reviewing, conditioning, and underwriting US residential mortgage loans (Conventional, FHA, VA, Reverse, Correspondent). This role ensures compliance, accuracy, and risk management in line with FNMA & FHLMC standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review & analyze loan applications for eligibility, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Assess financial/non-financial documentation: income, assets, liabilities, appraisals, credit.
  • Provide final underwriting approval for multiple loan products.
  • Sign off conditions and communicate underwriting decisions to processors/advisors.
  • Ensure compliance with HUD, company, and investor guidelines.
  • Work across teams to resolve escalated loans and support audit improvements.

Must-Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ year in US mortgage underwriting.
  • Strong knowledge of 4C's of underwriting: Credit, Capacity, Collateral, Capital.
  • Hands-on experience in income calculation (salaried & self-employed).
  • Familiarity with FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, VA, and Reverse mortgage underwriting standards.
  • Willingness to work flexible/night shifts as per business needs.
