**Job Purpose**:
Lead the day to day operations of all the UltraTech chartered ships, plan the requirement of ships, assist in hire / sub hire the ships from the market at competitive rates, streamline Marine operations & required compliances at upcoming terminals / plants / projects and ensure efficient handling / movement of cement & clinker. The job includes active participation in business strategy for growth of Marine sector.

**Job Context & Major Challenges**:
The scope of Marine function includes Marine & Coastal operations, Imports and Exports. UltraTech has covered entire west coast with shipping impression for their cement dispatches with 3 loading ports & 6 discharge ports and it also aspires to explore the possibilities of using East coast & Inland waterways. The company has fleet of 18 ships of varied size to cater its long term demand and supply. It is vital to focus on creating new facilities i.e. new sea based terminals, up gradation of shipping fleet, ports / jetties. Marine logistics is very specialized field and always content of high volume, high capital asset, high risk, 24 X 7 operations but it is most economical mode of transportation.

An effective Vendor Management ensures an alignment of different categories of service providers to satisfy both internal and external customers, building relationship with Port & Shipping authorities for long term policies and improving loading / unloading infrastructure.

The real time decision making, coordination and liasoining is the key for Marine Operations and one of the major challenge.

'¢ (R,A) Prepare and submit draft C/P for approval.
