**Responsibilities**:

- The attorney will manage and coach less experienced attorneys and will assist with other business goals as directed by the Global Legal Services Director.
- Provide legal support in other practice areas, including proposed and enacted legislation, contractor responsibility, commercial matters, as required. Pro-actively advise appropriate parties of changes in the law, interpretations, and recent court rulings which may impact the practice areas and matters with which the counsel is involved.
- Work in coordination with the Compliance team in order to ensure adherence to internal policies and Due Diligence processes.
- Support other multidisciplinary projects within the legal team, including M&A transactions, technology testing and other initiatives driven by the Legal Operations function
- This position reports to the Global Legal Services Director, based in Pune.

**Qualifications**:

- The attorney is expected to be a self-starter, exercise independent judgment and show a high degree of initiative and drive, offering assistance and identifying issues at the earliest possible stages.
- The attorney will often have to work under pressure and deadlines and needs to be able to prioritize projects and to be open to suggestions and ideas.
- Attention to detail. Excellent negotiating, drafting, and practice-management skills and business judgment. Ability to identify creative, business-oriented solutions to legal and business risks.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on contract negotiations or other transactions of significant size and complexity
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and clients in a fast-paced environment.
- Confidence dealing with senior management and sophisticated vendors. Proven capability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, organizational, drafting and communication skills and demonstrated ability to work on a multi-disciplinary team.

**Education and Experience**:

- LLB or BSL LLB
- Minimum 8-9 years combined experience of Corporate Legal department work and working as an in-house counsel for global corporate.
- Familiarity with Google Suite.
