**Job Title**: Academic Mentor**Position Summary**:
The Academic Mentor supports students in achieving their academic goals by providing guidance, tutoring, and motivational support. The mentor works closely with students to foster effective learning strategies, enhance academic performance, and encourage positive study habits.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide one-on-one or small group academic mentoring to assigned students.
- Assist students in setting academic goals and developing action plans.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to students and relevant stakeholders.
- Support students in understanding course materials, completing assignments, and preparing for exams.
- Identify and address learning challenges and recommend appropriate resources.
- Promote effective time management, study skills, and organizational strategies.
- Refer students to additional academic support services as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of mentoring sessions and student progress.
- Collaborate with faculty, academic advisors, and support services to ensure a holistic approach to student development.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s degree or current enrollment in a graduate program (preferred).
- Experience in tutoring, mentoring, teaching, or academic support roles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and support students from diverse backgrounds.
- Confidentiality and professionalism in handling student information.
