Channel Sales Manager is a responsible for driving business growth within a company. They develop a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income.
**Core Responsibilities**:
- Identifying potential channel partners, evaluating their suitability, and establishing strategic alliances to expand the company's reach in the market.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with channel partners, including distributors, resellers, and retailers, through regular communication, training, and support. This involves collaborating closely with partners to ensure they have the necessary resources to effectively sell the company's products or services.
- Developing effective sales strategies and plans in collaboration with channel partners to meet revenue targets. This includes setting sales objectives, forecasting sales volumes, and implementing appropriate pricing and promotional strategies.
- Tracking and analyzing sales data, market trends, and partner performance to identify areas for improvement. The sales manager is responsible for assessing channel partner effectiveness, providing feedback, and implementing measures to enhance their sales performance.
- Conducting product and sales training sessions for channel partners and their employees to ensure they possess the knowledge and skills required to effectively promote and sell the company's offerings. The sales manager also provides ongoing support, guidance, and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
- Collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, product development, and finance to align channel strategies with overall business objectives. This includes coordinating product launches, marketing campaigns, and incentive programs to maximize channel partner engagement and success.
- Demonstrated experience in B2B sales and channel management, preferably within the same industry or a related field for 4-5 years. Prior experience in sales or account management roles is often required to understand the dynamics of the sales process and effectively manage partnerships. Experience in following categories are highly valued.
- Strong understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitive landscape. Familiarity with the company's products or services is essential to effectively communicate their value proposition to channel partners and customers.
- The ability to lead, motivate, and influence channel partners to achieve sales goals. Effective communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are crucial to establishing productive partnerships and resolving conflicts.
- Proficiency in analyzing sales data, market research, and performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges. The sales manager should be able to develop data-driven strategies and make informed decisions to optimize channel sales.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address issues that may arise in the channel partner network, such as pricing disputes, market shifts, or customer concerns. The ability to think creatively and find effective solutions is vital.
- A focus on achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. The sales manager should be motivated, persistent, and proactive in pursuing opportunities and overcoming obstacles.
**Key Requirements and skills**:
- Experience in Developing and Implementing Channel Strategies.
- 2-6 years of relevant experience in Channel Sales
- Strong understanding of market trends and dynamics in business
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated progressive experience with B2B sales
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse clients
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
**Salary**: ₹216,000.00 - ₹480,000.00 per year
