**Key Responsibilities**:
**Student Counselling**:

- Provide one-on-one counselling to cadets on academic, personal, and career-related concerns.
- Guide cadets in goal setting, time management, and adapting to the rigorous demands of maritime training.
- Address mental health and emotional well-being, offering appropriate support and referrals when needed.

**Career Guidance**:

- Assist cadets in understanding career pathways in the maritime industry.
- Conduct workshops and seminars on professional development, interview skills, and job readiness.

**Parental Communication**:

- Act as a liaison between the institute and parents, addressing concerns and providing updates on cadet progress.

**Administrative Duties**:

- Maintain detailed records of counselling sessions and cadet progress.
- Collaborate with faculty, wardens, and administrative staff to ensure a positive environment for cadets.

**Training and Workshops**:

- Develop and deliver sessions on stress management, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.
- Organize orientation programs for new cadets to ease their transition into campus life.

**Qualifications**:

- Master’s degree in Psychology, Counselling, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree with significant experience may be considered).
- 5+ years of experience in student counselling or a related role, preferably in an educational institution.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of the maritime education sector or a willingness to learn about it is desirable.
- Familiarity with counselling tools and techniques for young adults.
- Must be willing to reside on campus and actively contribute to the residential community.
