**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Job Title : CAPTAIN**

**Department : F & B Service**

**Reporting To : Assistant & Dining Manager**

**Reportees : Waiters & Cleaners**

**Objective**:
Responsible for having products knowledge. Handling customers extremely well from entry to exit level. Capable of managing and developing the team members. Maintain hygiene and providing a high quality experience to the customers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Greets guest and present them with the menu.
- Informs guest about the special items for the day and menu changes if any.
- Suggest food and beverages to the guest and also try to up sell.
- Take food and beverage orders from the handheld Point of sale (POS) system.
- Obtaining revenues, issuing receipts, accepting payments, returning the change.
- Punch the order on the POS machine and make sure to enter the special requirements made by the guest while ordering the food.
- Communicate to the guest and provide assistance with their queries.
- Co - ordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction.
- Serves food and beverage to the guest as per the course of order.
- Observes guests and ensure their satisfaction with the food and service.
- Promptly respond to guest with any additional request.
- Maintaining proper dining experience, delivering items, fulfilling customer needs.
- Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently.
- Must have some familiarity with basic cooking skills.
- Handling Telephone Calls & Reservations.
- Performs any other tasks assigned in the interest of the organization.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Regular / Permanent

**Salary**: ₹8,086.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
