**Job Title: Executive Chef**

**Location**: Chennai

**Job Type**: Full-Time

**Experience Required**: Minimum 10-15 years in leadership role

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and manage the culinary team in all aspects of kitchen operations
- Design, develop, and regularly update a menu focused on authentic South Indian cuisine (including regional variations: Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra/Telangana)
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, hygiene, and taste
- Innovate dishes while maintaining the authenticity of traditional recipes
- Manage inventory, food cost, portion control, and minimize wastage
- Train and mentor junior chefs and kitchen staff
- Collaborate with procurement for sourcing high-quality, authentic ingredients
- Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and sanitation regulations
- Cater to dietary preferences and provide customization when required
- Oversee live counters, buffets, banquets, or special events as required

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Proven expertise in South Indian cuisine - both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes
- Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills
- Ability to handle high-pressure kitchen environments
- Knowledge of modern kitchen equipment and cooking techniques
- Familiarity with costing, budgeting, and P&L responsibilities
- Flexibility with work hours, including weekends and holidays

**Preferred Experience**:

- Experience in high-end restaurants, luxury hotels, or specialty South Indian kitchens
- Exposure to regional variations like Chettinad, Udupi, Malabar, Mangalorean, etc.
- Experience with modern plating and fusion without compromising authenticity

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
