Job Title: Food and Beverage (F&B) Controller

Position Overview:
The Food and Beverage (F&B) Controller plays a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success and operational efficiency of the F&B department within our prestigious 5-star hotel. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance or the Financial Controller, this position involves meticulous oversight of all financial aspects related to F&B operations, including cost control, budgeting, inventory management, and financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Cost Control and Analysis**:

- Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency and maximize profitability.
- Regularly monitor and analyze F&B expenses, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Conduct regular audits of F&B outlets to ensure adherence to established standards and policies.

2. **Budgeting and Forecasting**:

- Assist in the preparation of annual F&B budgets and forecasts in collaboration with department heads and the finance team.
- Monitor budget performance throughout the year, providing regular updates and variance analysis to management.

3. **Inventory Management**:

- Oversee inventory procedures, including the accurate tracking and recording of F&B stock levels.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste, spoilage, and pilferage.
- Coordinate with purchasing and receiving teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of F&B supplies.

4. **Financial Reporting**:

- Prepare timely and accurate financial reports related to F&B operations, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Present financial data and analysis to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.

5. **Menu Engineering and Pricing**:

- Collaborate with chefs and F&B managers to develop profitable menus that balance cost considerations with customer preferences and market trends.
- Conduct menu engineering analysis to optimize menu pricing and maximize revenue generation.

6. **Compliance and Control**:

- Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and legal regulations governing F&B operations.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures related to F&B financial management.

7. **Training and Development**:

- Provide training and support to F&B staff on financial procedures, cost control techniques, and inventory management best practices.
- Foster a culture of financial accountability and transparency within the F&B department.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with F&B operations, menu planning, and culinary trends.
- Knowledge of relevant accounting principles and financial regulations.
