**Job Description: Food & Beverage (F&B) Steward**

**Position Summary**: The F&B Steward plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that guests receive high-quality service. This position involves assisting with food and beverage service, under the guidance of the waiting staff, and ensuring that all stations are well-stocked and sanitary.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Clean and set tables, placing seasonal decorations, candles, and tablecloths as appropriate.
- Welcome guests, seat them, serve water or refill glasses, and deliver beverages from the bartender.
- Keep menus clean and present them to customers.
- Stock wait staff serving stations with necessary items such as napkins, utensils, trays, and condiments.
- Assist wait staff with all aspects of service, including taking orders and serving food and beverages.
- Clear tables and prepare them for the next guests.
- Clean and polish cutlery, glassware, and dishes.
- Ensure cleanliness of the kitchen area and equipment by following proper cleaning procedures.
- Assist in inventory management, including restocking supplies when necessary.
- Dispose of waste in accordance with waste management procedures.
- Follow and maintain knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service and teamwork skills.
- Physical stamina to work long hours on your feet.
- Flexibility to work shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.

**Job Description: Food & Beverage (F&B) Captain**

**Position Summary**: The F&B Captain is responsible for overseeing and managing the service in a restaurant or banquet event, ensuring that guests receive exceptional dining experiences. This role involves supervising service staff, coordinating with the kitchen, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet and welcome guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner.
- Assist guests with table reservations and seating.
- Ensure guests are serviced within the specified time.
- Possess a good knowledge of the menu and presentation standards.
- Speak with guests and staff using clear and professional language.
- Anticipate and address any unexpected guest needs promptly and tactfully.
- Set tables according to the type of event and service standards.
- Record transactions/orders in Point of Sales systems at the time of order.
- Communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, and product availability.
- Check with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and beverage.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, china glass, etc., throughout the shift.
- Ensure that the restaurant is always kept clean and organized, both at the front and back of house areas.
- Handle daily team member relations and encourage problem-solving by team members through proper training and empowerment (Hotel and Restaurant Academy).

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or related field/ Experience in same domain & sector/ High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of work experience in Food & Beverage, with at least 1 year in a Captain position or similar role.
- Good command of both spoken and written English.
- Excellent guest service skills.
