**Project Description**:
The purpose of the USAID India Plastics Pollution Activity is to further advance public and private sector capacity to improve solid waste management, identity innovations in plastic recycling, and reduce demand for single-use plastic, all with the end goal of reducing ocean plastic production.

Position Description

The DCOP will be based in New Delhi, India, and report to the Chief of Party.
- Position is contingent upon award and funding._

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:

- Support the COP in developing a vision and strategy for the Activity shared with program team and key stakeholders.
- Provide quality control and coordination of Activity elements with senior-level Advisors.
- Ensure that key cross-cutting elements are in place and mainstreamed effectively in all program activities, including gender, private sector engagement and behavior change.
- Support the preparation and delivering high quality reports to USAID, including quarterly and annual reports, annual work plans, technical and financial reports.
- Support COP in ensuring that all contractual deliverables and reporting requirements are met and in compliance with contractual requirements and U.S. federal regulations.
- Foster and maintain effective, professional relations with government counterparts, local organizations, donors and other stakeholders for successful implementation.
- Collaborate and share knowledge with other development partners and their initiatives.
- Liaise with USAID and RTI home office on technical and financial implementation of and reporting on programming.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree and 12 years of experience, Master's degree and 10 years of experience, PhD and 6 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 5 years of experience, preferably in India, leading international donor-supported programs of similar size and complexity.
- Experience and expertise on projects focused on strengthening solid waste management practices, promoting plastic recycling, and/or improving service delivery.
- Prior experience with USAID-funded programs preferred.
- Demonstrated skills in building, mobilizing, and leading multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, and with multiple concurrent demands.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Ability to travel and work throughout India.
