**Role Summary**
The Commis will assist in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen cleanliness, ensuring consistency in quality and adherence to restaurant standards. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts, eager to learn, and committed to delivering excellence in every dish.
**Key Responsibilities**
**Food Preparation & Cooking**
- Prepare ingredients such as chopping, peeling, and marinating as directed by senior chefs.
- Assist in cooking, plating, and presenting dishes with attention to detail and consistency.
- Follow recipes and instructions accurately to maintain quality standards.
**Kitchen Support**
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in workstations and throughout the kitchen.
- Ensure that all food is stored correctly and labeled following food safety standards.
- Restock and organize ingredients and supplies during and after shifts.
**Learning & Development**
- Actively participate in training sessions and learn new culinary techniques.
- Support the Chef de Partie in implementing new recipes and menu items.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team and contribute to a positive working environment.
**Qualifications & Skills**
- Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent is a plus.
- 6 months to 2 years of experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in Indian or multi-cuisine setups.
- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients.
- Passion for cooking with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
**Working Conditions**
- Shift-based work, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically demanding role, involving standing for extended periods and handling heavy kitchen equipment.
