**Position Summary**:
The MGPS (Medical Gas Pipeline System) Technician is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of medical gas systems within healthcare facilities. This role ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations while providing a safe and reliable environment for patient care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Repair Work**: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in medical gas systems, including oxygen, nitrous oxide, and vacuum systems.
- **Regulatory Compliance**: Ensure all activities comply with relevant health and safety regulations and standards, including NFPA, JCAHO, and local codes.
- **Documentation**: Maintain accurate records of activities, inspections, and repairs in accordance with hospital policies.
- **System**: Installation of medical gas systems as needed, following all relevant guidelines.
- **Emergency Response**: Respond promptly to any medical gas system emergencies, troubleshooting issues to restore functionality.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in HVAC, plumbing, or a related field preferred.
- minimum 3 yrs. - 5 yrs. Experience in medical gas systems or related technical field.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (NFPA, ASSE, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
