**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities**:

- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Obstetrics and Gynecology department, including antenatal care, labor support, and postpartum care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs, progress, and condition during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum stages.
- Assist doctors and healthcare providers during deliveries, surgeries, and medical procedures related to obstetrics and gynecology.
- Educate patients and their families about prenatal care, childbirth preparation, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapy, and other treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including medical histories, progress notes, and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including obstetricians, gynecologists, pediatricians, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Adhere to hospital policies, protocols, and safety standards to promote a safe and healing environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in training, continuing education programs, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and families during challenging situations, such as pregnancy complications or fetal loss.

**Qualifications**:

- GNM (Registered)
- Valid nursing license and registration in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical skills in maternal and newborn care, including labor monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, and postpartum assessment.
- Knowledge of obstetric and gynecological procedures, medications, and treatments.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations and provide compassionate care to patients and families.
- Commitment to upholding ethical standards, patient confidentiality, and professional conduct.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
