**What We'll Bring**:
TransUnion has an immediate need for a Application Support Engineer to join their Operations team in Chennai, India, to support US and International locations working for Decisioning Products and Solutions. The team will deliver highest service quality, sustainable environments. They will address the issues and fulfil service requests reported internally and externally from clients/customers. The systems and service availability alerts shall be examined and resolved. Ensure the availability of services meets the SLA commitments. This position will be a permanent, full-time role.

**What You'll Bring**:

- Ability to collaborate with the cross-discipline teams to identify and resolve problems.
- ‘Systems thinking’ to understand the full service landscape
- Good understanding of.NET and knowledge on Microsoft Windows IIS and services to support a web facing, revenue generating, OLTP system.
- Experience with PowerShell / PowerCLI and DSC. Experience with other orchestration / automation a plus.
- Experience in Splunk and creating dashboards to monitor performance/health checks of the system.
- Experience in automating regular maintenance tasks.
- Knowledge and experience in VMware/AWS/Azure.
- Have a tight control on the incident and request tickets in the queue and get them tracked for closure through proper analysis and get them recorded in the ticketing system.
- Participate in longer term roadmap planning
- Perform pre and post validations and conduct health check on the systems and services during incidents and release/change in Infra or on Application deployments.
- Take part in Incident/Crisis bridge call, Problem management calls, CAB calls, Release/Deployment calls, etc

**Impact You'll Make**:

- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required
- Minimum of 5 years of systems thinking. Demonstrating end to end understanding of customers’ value stream. This is illustrated by an ability to articulate the surrounding functions and the interdependencies that make up the full system while maintaining a deep knowledge of your specialty.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the design and administration of windows and windows cluster environments in support of MSSQL
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with PowerShell / Power CLI / DSC
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with VMWare/AWS/Azure
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience with monitoring of complete systems. Splunk experience a major plus.
- Working knowledge in Linux environment.
- Strong understanding and management of Application services and OS services.
- Experience in supporting a.NET / MSSQL in a Cloud environment is a plus.
- Must understand the Application build components and functionalities and thoughtful on business processes.
- Create and maintain knowledge articles, conduct knowledge sharing sessions, own service improvement programs for the betterment of team and ease the support processes.
- Knowledge and understanding on ITIL processes and Service management principles and procedures.
- Ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills and must work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to work in a 24/7 shift support operations with an On-call support role in rotational basis.
