Job Title**:Plant Operator / PLC Technician**
Experience RELEVANCE**:4+ Years**

**Industry**: Manufactures concrete hollow blocks, vent blocks, stone pavers, and kerb stone for the construction and civil engineering sector.

**Job Summary**:
*Responsible for the operation of the plant and the production of concrete hollow blocks, vent blocks, stone pavers and kerb stone to the operating capacity of the plant.
*Responsible for the operation, programming, re programming, testing, trouble shooting and correcting problems with the plant’s Siemens and Vacon control systems.
*Responsible for the product quality control and continuous improvement. Responsible for planned maintenance and repairs to the plant’s mechanical functions in collaboration with mechanical engineering and electrical / electronic personnel.

**PLC related competencies as above**
- Able to use, repair and maintain machines and tools.
- Knowledge of engineering science, maths, and technology.
- Design skills and knowledge.
- Able to work well with your hands.
- Be thorough and pay attention to detail.
- Able to accept criticism and work well under pressure.
- Able to work well with others.
- Able to use a computer and the main software packages
