- **Quantity Surveying**:QS Engineers measure, calculate, and record quantities of materials, labor, and equipment required for a project. They may also prepare bills of quantities (BOQ) for tendering purposes.
- **Financial Reporting**:They prepare financial reports, including cost forecasts, progress reports, and reconciliations.
- **Value Engineering**:They may analyze project costs and propose cost-effective solutions while maintaining project quality.
- **Dispute Resolution**:QS Engineers may be involved in resolving disputes related to cost, quantities, or contract terms.
- **Collaboration**:They work closely with other project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.

Skills Required:

- **Cost Estimation**: Proficiency in estimating costs for construction projects is essential.
