**About the role**

The Impact and ESG vertical at FarMart works closely with cross functional teams to ensure that impact and sustainability are embedded in the core of the business. The team works on varied projects ranging from impact measurement, ESG, communications, farmer engagement, government relations, investor relations, strategic partnerships, sustainability, research and writing.

This is a self-starter position requiring constant innovation and experimentation. It is ideal for a mid-level professional wanting to gain practical experience on how a growth stage startup works, while contributing your bit towards the lives of the stakeholders.
- Assist in overall ESG management of the company
- Identify ESG risks in the business, conduct materiality assessments, and manage ESG committee meetings
- Draft and implement organization wide policies and programs in compliance with our ESG Action Plan and other national/global ESG standards. This includes hands on involvement in training the teams, getting things implemented on ground, conducting audits, and reporting progress.
- Direct dealing with existing and potential investors for all ESG related conversations
- Take up regular reporting and lead all ESG related communications for the company

**Must have**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in the field of ESG
- Experience in actual implementation of ESG in a business
- Understanding of IFC Performance Standards and other important ESG mechanisms
- General understanding of diverse ESG and Sustainability topics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**Good to have**
- Experience of working in the agriculture and food industry
- Experience of working with IFC Performance Standards and other ESG standards
- Experience of managing investor relations
