**Job Summary**: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Assistant to join our team. The IT Assistant will support our IT department in maintaining the company's hardware, software, and network infrastructure. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our technological environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware and software.
- Provide technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and resolve IT-related problems.
- Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, and backups.
- Assist with the setup and maintenance of user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Support the implementation and documentation of IT policies and procedures.
- Assist in the management of IT inventory and ensure all equipment is properly accounted for and maintained.
- Conduct regular system updates and backups to ensure data integrity and security.
- Provide training and support to staff on IT systems and software as needed.
- Assist with the procurement of IT equipment and software licenses.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to provide recommendations for improvement.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in an IT support role.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and network systems.
- Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
- Basic understanding of network protocols and security.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar are a plus.
