- Key Responsibilities- Produce, underwrite and manage the book of business in compliance with underwriting guidelines, strategies and best practices
- Perform the underwriting referral function for Property & Casualty Treaty businesses, as specified and as required in the underwriting guidelines and mandates
- Implement use of internal pricing and layering models & tools, wording topics
- Data crunching/analysis of various client information deck, quarterly performance to update the market summary/statistics, peer to peer comparison, market benchmarking, etc
- Maintain high standards for thoroughness, accuracy, and consistency of work product
- Drive business development together with Client Management and foster a business development mindset within the underwriting team
- Build effective working relationships across departmental, internal companies and clients, while maintaining diplomacy to drive successful business outcomes

Education & Experience
- Essential:
- Graduate degree with emphasis on insurance, actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics, business or accounting
- Knowledge and experience in underwriting Property or Casualty treaty business
- 4 + years insurance or reinsurance company experience with emphasis on analytic functions in underwriting support, underwriting, pricing & product development
- Familiarity with risk modeling and working knowledge of insurance products and/or reinsurance contracts
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel; Power BI and data analytics tools would be an advantage
- Exceptional communication skills that energize and engage brokers, clients and colleagues and the ability to convey a vision and client-focused solutions
