**Role Summary**:
The QC Assistant supports the QA and Production teams in conducting quality inspections across weaving, finishing, and dispatch stages. This role ensures that every rug meets RMC’s defined quality parameters, buyer specifications, and internal SOP standards. The QC Assistant identifies defects, documents findings, supports rectifications, and maintains inspection records to enable on-time, defect-free shipments.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**In-Process and Final Quality Inspection**
- Conduct daily inspections of rugs during weaving, finishing, and pre-packaging.
- Check pile height, size accuracy, color matching, weave consistency, and surface finishing.
- Assist in pre-dispatch inspections and verify against buyer-approved samples.
- Tag each lot as Pass, Rework, or Hold based on QC standards.

**Defect Identification & Rectification Coordination**
- Identify and record visible and hidden defects.
- Coordinate with Production and Finishing teams for rectification and rework.
- Re-inspect reworked pieces to ensure correction.
- Report recurring defects to QC Executive for analysis.

**Quality Record Maintenance & Reporting**
- Maintain daily inspection reports in QC log sheets or ERP systems.
- Photograph and record defect cases as per SOP.
- Assist in maintaining buyer-wise quality records and approval reports.
- Submit daily QC updates to QC Executive.

**Compliance to QA SOPs and Buyer Standards**
- Follow inspection formats, measurement tolerances, and testing standards.
- Verify labeling, packaging, and barcoding as per buyer requirements.
- Support buyer or third-party inspections with sample and record access.
- Ensure no dispatch occurs without final QC clearance.

**Support in CAPA & Continuous Improvement**
- Participate in daily defect review meetings.
- Suggest improvements to reduce recurring defects.
- Assist QA team in preparing Corrective & Preventive Action (CAPA) reports.
- Document preventive measures implemented on the floor.
