- Key Responsibilities of a Goods In Operative:

- Receiving Deliveries:
Accepting deliveries of goods and materials from suppliers and other sources.
- Checking for Damage and Discrepancies:
Inspecting items for damage, shortages, or other discrepancies and reporting any issues.
- Stock Control:
Recording received items, updating inventory records, and ensuring proper storage of goods.
- Stock Location:
Placing received items in designated storage locations within the warehouse.
- Maintaining a Safe and Tidy Environment:
Ensuring the goods-in area is clean, organized, and safe for all personnel.
- Operating Equipment:
Potentially operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks to move and store goods.
- Following Procedures:
Adhering to company policies, health and safety regulations, and any specific procedures related to goods receipt and handling.
- Reporting and Communication:
Reporting any issues, such as damaged goods or discrepancies, to supervisors or relevant personnel.
- Assisting with Stock Takes:
Participating in regular stock checks and inventory counts.
- Skills and Qualifications:

- Attention to detail: Essential for accurately checking goods and recording information.
