Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.

Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and collections.

Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts, providing insights and recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.

Compliance: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations and standards.

Audit Support: Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.

Taxation: Prepare and file tax returns, ensuring compliance with all tax regulations and deadlines.

Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and other team members to support various business initiatives and projects.

Skills & Qualifications:
Education: Hold a bachelor’s degree or a relevant degree in Accounts.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the fintech or startup industry.

**Skills**:Strong leadership and people management skills.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience with financial analysis and reporting.

Knowledge of fintech industry trends and regulations is a plus.
