Converting Supervisor

Organization is leading Manufacturing of Corrugation Box, Printing and Packaging Industry Located at Moraiya, Ahmedabad.

The Converting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the converting operations within the packaging production facility. This includes managing the day-to-day activities of the converting department, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining high-quality standards, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. The Converting Supervisor will lead a team of operators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to achieve operational excellence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Operational Management**:

- Supervise and coordinate the activities of the converting department, including scheduling, production planning, and workflow management.
- Ensure production goals are met by monitoring and optimizing production processes.
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of converting equipment such as die-cutters, laminators, slitters, and printers.
- **Quality Control**:

- Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure all products meet specified standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the production process and finished goods.
- Address and resolve any quality issues in a timely manner.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Lead, train, and develop a team of operators and technicians, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback and coaching to team members.
- Manage staffing levels, including hiring, scheduling, and time-off requests.
- **Safety and Compliance**:

- Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions.
- **Continuous Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to cost reduction efforts.
- Utilize data and metrics to track performance and drive improvements.
- **Inventory and Resource Management**:

- Manage inventory levels of raw materials, supplies, and finished goods.
- Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor and control waste and scrap levels to minimize costs.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within the packaging or converting industry.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficient in the operation and maintenance of converting equipment. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- **Leadership Skills**: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- **Problem-Solving**: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to make quick decisions under pressure.
- **Software Proficiency**: Familiarity with production management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
