**Job Summary**:
The Retail Sales Trainer is responsible for imparting training and development programs to individuals seeking employment or career advancement in the retail sales sector as part of a government-sponsored initiative. The primary objective is to equip trainees with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in retail sales roles.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Curriculum Development**: Create, design, and update training materials and curricula tailored to the needs of the retail industry.
**Instruction**: Deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars to trainees, covering various aspects of retail sales, including customer service, product knowledge, sales techniques, and point-of-sale systems.
**Individual Assessment**: Assess the skills and progress of trainees through testing, observation, and feedback, providing constructive guidance for improvement.
**Group Training**: Conduct group training sessions on topics such as visual merchandising, inventory management, and sales strategies.
**Soft Skills Training**: Address interpersonal skills and customer-centric behaviors, focusing on effective communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution.
**Industry Trends**: Stay up-to-date with current retail industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices, and incorporate this knowledge into training programs.
**Support and Mentorship**: Provide individualized coaching and mentorship to trainees, assisting them in their job search and career development.
**Documentation**: Maintain records of trainee progress and performance, preparing reports for program supervisors and government agencies.
**Evaluations**: Assess the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary to improve outcomes.
**Compliance**: Ensure that training programs align with government regulations, guidelines, and funding requirements.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, sales, education, etc.) is often preferred.
- Previous experience in retail sales or training is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of retail industry practices and trends.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to work with diverse groups of.individuals.
