**Job description of Purchase In-charge**
- Developing & Implementing purchasing strategies
- Coordinate with all internal stakeholders for all procurement needs of the company.
- Create and maintain vendor database and track vendor performance.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Preparing cost-benefit analysis/ comparison reports of goods and services for review and approval of Senior Management.
- Negotiate with vendors for best quote for goods and services the company requires within promulgated budget.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly procurement cost reports.
- Generate Purchase Orders and track appropriate delivery of goods and services, and ensure payments to vendors.
- Manage and ensure effective running of the Procurement & Stores Department.
- Review all contract specifications with vendors.
- Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Ensure relevant Procurement policies and procedures are followed by all departments in the company.
- Knowledge on stock level, minimum long lead items required
- Manage inventory, employees of the Stores & stock of products.
- Stock audit knowledge is required.
- Knowledge on procurement from overseas.
- Working to improve purchasing systems and processes.
- Training new employees in the purchasing & stores process.

Ø Degree or Diploma in Engineering.

Ø 5-10 years of experience in a Procurement role

Ø Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ø Strong negotiation skills.

Ø Experience in building and managing external relationships.

Ø Process driven with team-oriented approach.

Ø Strong MS Word & Excel skills are preferred.

Ø Working knowledge in SAP is preferred.

Ø Immediate Joiners and willing to relocate to Chennai
