The Oracle DBA is responsible for working within a technical team of professionals providing IT services to remotely-located clients.

**Together with**:

- Monitoring and assessing client system behaviour and status, identifying, planning and implementing improvements
- Ensure the availability and performance of databases supported by the team
- Ensure services are secure with mínimal downtime
- Provide proactive monitoring of database system
- Provide customer health checks as required
- Take on New Technologies as the Company requires
- Be a Techical Escalation point for more Junior members of the team.

**In combination with**:

- Experience of installing and troubleshooting Oracle Goldengate
- Experiece of installing and supporting OCI/AWS Cloud Solutions
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Experience of Oracle Exadata / ODA
- Experience of Oracle Apps (eBusiness Suite)
- Exposure to Oracle 18c
- Knowledge of other Database systems such as SQLServer/MySQL/PostgreSQL
- Proficiency with Unix/Linux and Windows operating systems to a level below a dedicated Systems Administrator
- 5-8 years plus experience in Enterprise level Oracle Database Administration
- Proven track record providing production support including monitoring and tuning
- Experience in installing, upgrading and patching of all Oracle Versions
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Able to manage multiple RDBMS across versions and platforms
- Oracle certification (OCA)
- Experience Adminstrating Oracle RAC, Oracle CRS
- Experience with Oracle Dataguard
- Experience in Oracle Performance Tuning
- Proven experience working within a team
- Excellent spoken English and a positive telephone manner
- Good written English for formal and informal information exchange with clients
