**Job Description**:
We are looking for a skilled SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to design, configure, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases on Azure Cloud. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance and availability of production systems while planning major upgrades and implementing effective backup and recovery strategies.

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Database Management**: Design, configure, implement, and maintain SQL Server databases on Azure Cloud.
- ** Upgrades and Migrations**: Plan and implement major upgrades and migrations for SQL Server databases.
- ** Backup and Recovery**: Develop and implement robust database backup and recovery strategies.

Qualifications/Experience
- ** Experience**: 3+ years of solid experience with MS SQL Server (recent versions) in a DBA capacity.
- ** Technical Skills**: Thorough knowledge of SQL Server installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
- ** Database Management**: Experience in database upgrades, migrations, patching, and backup/recovery of large databases.
- ** Systems Engineering**: Systems engineering and administration skills within a Microsoft environment.
- ** Clustering Knowledge**: Knowledge of SQL Server clustering.
- ** Database Design**: Experience in SQL database design.
- ** Normalization and Object Management**: Expertise in database normalization, backup/restore processes, data import/export, and the creation of database objects (tables, views, user-defined data types, indexes, stored procedures, cursors, and triggers).
- ** Performance Optimization**: Experience with performance tuning, capacity planning, query optimization, and conducting database consistency checks.
- ** Troubleshooting Skills**: Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, connectivity issues, and security issues.
- ** T-SQL Expertise**: Excellent knowledge of system tables and system stored procedures using T-SQL.
- ** Data Management**: Experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and data architecture.
