**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Program and set up **sliding head CNC lathes** (Tsugami, Citizen, or Star).
- Optimize programs for **cycle time reduction, tool life, and maximum OEE** (Overall Equipment Effectiveness).
- Interpret engineering drawings and ensure precision in part production.
- Select appropriate tools, fixtures, and cutting parameters.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining or programming issues independently.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to meet delivery and quality targets.
- Maintain machine maintenance schedules and ensure safe working practices.

**Requirements**:

- **Minimum 3 years of experience** programming sliding head CNC machines.
- Strong experience with **Tsugami, Citizen, or Star** machines is essential.
- Deep understanding of **tool selection, G-code programming**, and machine capabilities.
- Experience in a production environment with a focus on **maximizing throughput and efficiency**.
- Ability to work independently, read technical drawings, and maintain high-quality standards.
- Problem-solving mindset with a strong commitment to continuous improvement.
