**The Role**

As a AS/400 System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.

There’s never a typical day as a AS/400 System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 7+ years of relavant experience in the area of IBM i (AS400) Administration having hands on experience on work management, BRMS, Job schedulers, journaling, HA, PTF, Lpar management, TCP/IP, user profile and security.
- Perform User Profile and Security Administration
- Perform Journal Management and audits.
- Perform OS installation/Upgrade
- Perform DR test from tape both by native method and through BRMS.
- Perform LPAR creation and management.
- Perform HMC management, upgrade etc.
- Perform all types of PTF installation.
- Virtual Storage Management systems like Data Domain and IBM Protectier.
- High Availability tool like MIMIX, iTera, and iCluster.
- Performance and Capacity Management tools like IBM PM400 and 3rd party tool like Performance.

Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Perform job scheduling in tools like IBM Native scheduler, Advanced Job Scheduler and Robot scheduler.
- Perform Backup and recovery using BRMS.
- Perform TCP/IP and network configuration.
- Perform Code promotion using Turnover, Implementer etc.
- Monitoring tools like MPLUS, ICOM, Robot Console etc.
- Perform install/upgrade/manage all third-party software.
- Knowledge on all IBM POWER hardware models.
- Knowledge on MQ and WAS.
- Knowledge on VIOS.
