**Key Responsibilities**:

- Administer and maintain mainframe systems, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
- Manage and execute system upgrades, patches, and software installations using SMPE.
- Perform system backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning and execution.
- Monitor system performance and implement tuning measures to enhance system efficiency.
- Manage user profiles, permissions, and system security to ensure compliance and data integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to mainframe systems.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and maintenance activities for future reference.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and other stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations regarding mainframe system management.

**Technical Skills Required**:

- Extensive experience with IBM Mainframe systems, including z/OS, JES2/3, and TSO/E.
- Proficiency in using SMPE for software installation, maintenance, and upgrades.
- Strong understanding of mainframe security concepts, including RACF administration.
- Experience with job scheduling, batch processing, and system automation.
- Knowledge of system performance monitoring and tuning techniques.
- Familiarity with mainframe networking and storage management.
- Ability to perform system backups, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.
- Experience with problem management and troubleshooting in a mainframe environment.

**Eligibility Criteria**:

- Minimum of 7 years of experience in mainframe system administration.
- Experience with SMPE is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Must be available for an in-person interview process in Bangalore.
