**This position reports to**:
Project Operations Manager

**Your role and responsibilities**:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to create and modify the standard designs of equipment, systems, or installations, including standard specifications for manufacturing, fabrication, or construction, using standard design concepts. Each day, you will design engineering solutions, including drawings and calculations according to contract specifications. You will also showcase your expertise by contributing to design reviews and design verification and modifying the design, as necessary. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Electrification business in Distribution Solution division at Nashik, India. You will be mainly accountable for: - Mechanical design as per customer specification & requirements. Concept / quick modelling for evaluating techno-commercial risks in project (tendering) - Full CAD / SolidWorks model finalization. Detailed design in SolidWorks / ACAD and complete detailed 2D drawings with BOM - Design of sheet metal parts, casted and machined metal parts, molded plastic parts. Design reviews in close communication with Engineering/customer & change implementation - Lead the DTO/ETO activities individually with given timelines & varying business needs. Application of relevant international switchgear & concern general standards - Preparation of Bill of Material in SAP (ERP System) & customer specific complex GA drawing. To conceptualize an optimized & cost efficient solution to fulfill customer requirements - Supporting operations team on effective / easy solutions & drive Opex initiative. Support M&S for suitable solution selection for big projects in tendering stage - Planning & Monitoring engineering activities to adhere timelines / project schedule. **Qualifications for the role**:

- You enjoy working with mechanical design team in our switchgear business
- You have 5 to 9 years of experience in reading and understanding customer specifications, evaluating the techno-commercial risk in projects, SolidWorks model finalization, updating BOM in SAP, Leading the Design to order solution, conceptualize & optimize the cost efficient solution, CAPA, QA review, Site Feedback
- Possess an enhanced knowledge of SolidWorks CAD 2D & 3D Modelling
- Possess an basic knowledge of SAP
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- You are at ease communicating in English
