Educational Qualification Recommended: Diploma Mechanical; GED and relevant additional certifications are a plus.

Work experience With a experience of minimum of 6-8 years as a CNC Programming in the Manufacturing, Precision Machining and Aerospace Industry

As a CNC Programmer you will be responsible for instructing machinery to create tools, objects and parts based on predefined criteria ensuring the highest standards of product and quality throughout our precision machining processes. You will be a part of the Machine shop team and will ensure to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives. Your expertise in programming and strong knowledge of methodologies will be instrumental in maintaining our reputation for delivering exceptional products to our customers.

Key job responsibilities

The Roles & Responsibilities include
- Develop and refine programs for CNC machines using computer-aided design (CAD) softwares which translate 3D models into code that the CNC machine can understand.
- Read blueprints and technical drawings to set up machines based on specification.
- Comprehend product design into computer modeling software.
- Use computer software to create the design of parts and tools.
- Write formulas to program lathe and mills using different computer software.
- Complete quality control checks during the machine's manufacturing stage and on the final product.
- Adjust and verify machine settings to desired product specification.
- Troubleshoot issues with the machine during the instructional design process.
- Coordinate with the purchasing manager to maintain inventory of raw materials.
- Implement routine machine maintenance checklist and focus on preventive maintenance.
- Train new staff members on machine operation procedures.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices related to precision machining and quality control methodologies.
- Foster a culture of quality consciousness, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as ISO 9001 and AS 9100 D, customer specifications and industry quality standards.

Key skills required:

- Familiar with Computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) software and CNC programming.
- Basic Delcam Powermill Programming skills.
- Familiar with G & M Codes for CNC programming.
- Knowledge of GD&T and experience in various job settings.
- Proficient in machine handling and tooling knowledge.
- Ability to read and interpret and comprehend engineering drawings and blueprints.
- Familiar with materials used in Aerospace manufacturing.
- High attention to detail, with ability to work independently adhering to deadlines.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to plan and distribute work efficiently.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS 9100 D quality management systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy weight materials as required.
- Ability to stand for long periods and to work extended hours as required.
- Understanding of workspace safety and adherence to safety regulations.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or GED.
- Technical certification or relevant vocational training.
- Experienced with CNC systems and programming.
