**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Garment Construction**: Sew and assemble garments according to design specifications, using both hand and machine stitching techniques.
- **Pattern Interpretation**: Read and interpret design sketches, patterns, and technical specifications to ensure accurate garment construction.
- **Cutting & Fabric Handling**: Accurately cut fabric according to patterns, ensuring the best use of materials and minimizing fabric waste.
- **Alterations & Fitting**: Perform alterations and adjustments to garments based on fitting sessions, ensuring the proper fit, comfort, and aesthetic quality.
- **Quality Control**: Inspect finished garments for stitching accuracy, fabric quality, fit, and overall appearance. Make necessary adjustments to ensure a high-quality final product.
- **Finishing Details**: Add finishing touches to garments, including hemming, attaching labels, buttons, zippers, and other final details.
- **Collaboration with Design Team**: Work closely with the design and production teams to ensure garments align with design intent and brand standards.
- **Maintaining Equipment**: Operate and maintain sewing machines and other tailoring equipment in good working order. Perform basic repairs and cleaning to ensure tools and machinery are well-maintained.
- **Time Management**: Complete garment production tasks within set timelines and adhere to production schedules. Communicate any delays or issues to the production manager.
- **Cleanliness & Organization**: Keep the workspace organized, clean, and free of clutter. Ensure all tools and materials are stored properly when not in use.
- **Problem-Solving**: Address any issues that arise during the garment-making process, including fabric inconsistencies, sewing issues, or pattern inaccuracies.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent. Formal training in tailoring, fashion design, or garment construction is a plus.
- **Experience**: Minimum 2 years of tailoring experience, preferably in a clothing brand or fashion production environment.
- **Skills**:

- Proficiency in hand stitching, machine sewing, and other garment-making techniques.
- Ability to interpret and work from patterns, technical drawings, and design specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a high standard of workmanship.
- Familiarity with fabric types, textures, and their properties.
- Ability to make alterations and adjustments to garments to ensure the perfect fit.
- Good understanding of garment construction and finishing techniques.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic knowledge of garment fitting and tailoring techniques.

**Working Conditions**:

- Full-time position.
- Primarily based in the tailoring workshop or production area.
- Occasional overtime may be required during peak seasons or to meet production deadlines.
- Safe working environment with all necessary tools and equipment provided.
