**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze and understand business requirements to design scalable PostgreSQL database solutions.
- Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL databases.
- Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and schema design.
- Perform regular database maintenance tasks, such as backups, restorations, and monitoring.
- Ensure database security by implementing best practices, such as access controls and encryption.
- Troubleshoot database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks and errors.
- Provide guidance on database migration and version upgrades.
- Write and maintain detailed documentation for database architecture, processes, and best practices.
- Conduct training sessions or workshops for team members or clients, as needed.

**Required Skills & Qualifications**
- **Technical Expertise**:

- Proficient in PostgreSQL database management, optimization, and administration.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/pgSQL, and advanced PostgreSQL features like partitioning and replication.
- Experience with database monitoring and performance tools (e.g., pgAdmin, pg_stat_statements, or equivalent).
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Understanding of database design, normalization, and indexing techniques.
- Experience with PostgreSQL extensions like PostGIS, pgRouting, or others is a plus.
- Familiarity with Linux environments and basic shell scripting.
- **Soft Skills**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Experience with cloud-based PostgreSQL solutions (e.g., Amazon RDS, Google Cloud SQL, Azure Database for PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of additional database systems or tools, such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization tools like Docker.
- Basic understanding of programming languages like Python, Java, or PHP.

**Education**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per year
