Supervisor

The Warehouse Floor Supervisor is responsible for managing and coordinating all activities on the warehouse floor to ensure the timely and accurate receipt, storage, and distribution of goods. This position requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to maintain a safe, efficient, and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Team Leadership:

- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse floor staff, including pickers, packers, and forklift operators.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment, fostering teamwork and cooperation.

1. Inventory Management:

- Oversee the accurate receiving, inspection, and storage of incoming shipments.
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and organization of inventory.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and coordinate physical inventory counts as required.

1. Order Fulfillment:

- Monitor order picking, packing, and shipping processes for accuracy and timeliness.
- Resolve any discrepancies or issues related to order fulfillment.
- Coordinate with customer service and sales teams to prioritize and expedite orders as needed.

1. Safety and Compliance:

- Enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
- Address any safety concerns or incidents promptly and appropriately.

1. Equipment Maintenance:

- Oversee the maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Schedule routine maintenance and repairs as necessary.

1. Reporting and Documentation:

- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and warehouse activities.
- Generate reports on warehouse performance and productivity.
- Provide regular updates to the Warehouse Manager.

1. Process Improvement:

- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Implement best practices and recommend changes to warehouse procedures.
- Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to develop and implement improvement plans.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred).
- Previous experience in warehouse operations and supervision.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Forklift certification and knowledge of safety regulations.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
- Extended periods of walking, standing, and climbing.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes physically demanding environment.
