Position Overview
As a Marketing Data Strategist, you will be responsible for building the foundations that enable data driven marketing and the digital transformation journey at Autodesk. You will work with the marketing stakeholders to understand the business needs, develop detailed requirements, provide prioritization for the development team, and work closely with the tactical teams to deliver on the vision. You will drive various tool selection initiatives, prioritize data that needs to be ingested to the data lake from different source systems, develop detailed data wrangling requirements, develop requirements for data quality assurance systems, provide requirements to develop a comprehensive data catalog and provide training to our stakeholders.
**Responsibilities**:
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization, to collect, develop & prioritize requirements, to answer questions and to address concerns- Provide strategic guidance and prioritization to investigate, identify and establish new tools and processes for data warehousing, data quality assurance, reporting, business intelligence, data governance and data cataloging- Define data models that support automated, recurring reporting needs and that support presentation of insights in an intuitive format- Define requirements and prioritization for data ingestion, aggregations, and transformations- Ensure strong data stewardship across the marketing data products, including governance, quality, and standardization of data- Provide guidance and prioritization to engineering team for building/maintaining data quality & data catalogs- Maintain comprehensive system documentation and training materials- Be a champion for the agile development process- Continue to adapt to changes based on emergence of new technologies, new competitors, artificial intelligence and alternative sources of data
Minimum Qualifications- 8+ years of experience in product management, requirement analyst, data engineering, data warehousing- 2+ years of working knowledge of the Agile development process- Advanced working knowledge of SQL. Experience working with relational databases, query authoring as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases- Experience working with analytics, data science or reporting teams- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, empathy, initiative and ownership- Superb analytical skills, technical aptitude, influencing skills and attention to detail- Eager to learn new things and passionate about technology- Flexible and be able to embrace change effectively
Preferred Qualifications- Bachelors or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems or in another quantitative fields- Working knowledge of two or more of the following technologies would be good to have:
- Data Warehouse Solutions: Redshift or Snowflake-
- Cloud storage: S3-
- AWS Cloud Services: Athena, Aurora, Glue, Lambda, Kinesis, EC2, EMR or RDS.-
- Big Data analytics: Hadoop or Spark-
- Workflow management: Oozie, Pyspark, Scala or Hive-
- Reporting and BI: PowerBI, Snowflake, Sigma-
- Other Sales, Marketing and Automation tools: Salesforce, Marketo, Adobe Analytics, Cvent, Siebel or UiPath-
- Tools used to identify and manage unstructured data#LI-POST
