Job Description:
- As a Procurement Specialist with experience in both government and private sector Engineering,
Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects, you will play a key role in managing the end-to-end
procurement process. Leveraging your technical background, you will oversee tendering, vendor
registration, and contract negotiations to ensure the successful execution of EPC projects. Strong
knowledge of procurement regulations, technical specifications, and vendor management is essential for
success in this role.
**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Tendering and Bidding:
- Develop and manage the tendering process for EPC projects, ensuring compliance with
government and private sector procurement regulations.
- Draft comprehensive bid documents, including technical specifications, terms, and
evaluation criteria.
2. Vendor Registration:
- Facilitate the registration of vendors for participation in government and private EPC
project tenders.
- Evaluate and ensure vendor compliance with technical and regulatory requirements.
3. Technical Specifications:
- Collaborate with technical teams to define and develop detailed technical specifications
for procurement.
- Ensure alignment between technical requirements and project objectives.
4. Bid Evaluation:
- Lead the evaluation of bids, considering both technical and commercial aspects.
- Collaborate with technical and project management teams to select the most suitable
vendors.
5. Contract Negotiation:
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, addressing technical specifications, pricing, and
delivery terms.
- Ensure contracts align with project timelines and quality standards.
6. Vendor Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
- Address performance issues and work collaboratively to resolve challenges.
7. Compliance and Regulations:
- Stay abreast of government and industry-specific procurement regulations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and procedures.
8. Cost Analysis:
- Conduct cost analysis for materials, equipment, and services to ensure competitiveness
and value for money.
- Collaborate with the finance team to manage budget considerations.
9. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of procurement activities.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on procurement status and performance.
10. Risk Management:
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with procurement activities.
- Develop contingency plans to address potential disruptions in the supply chain.
11. Continuous Improvement:
- Implement best practices for procurement processes.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree or
professional certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in procurement, specifically within government and private EPC projects.
- Strong understanding of technical specifications, engineering requirements, and procurement
regulations.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Experience 3 to 5 years.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate complex technical proposals.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools for procurement management.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
**Salary**: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
