- Position Scope:_

The Production Supervisor is responsible for leading shift operations and ensuring production, safety, quality, timeline and cost objectives are met. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Production Supervisor plans, organizes, and accomplishes short and long term goals for assigned area, monitors quantitative performance metrics, and proposes corrective actions to attain goals established by Management. As a shift leader, the Production Supervisor creates an environment where employees are coached, trained, motivated and rewarded for achieving high levels of performance. The Production Supervisor is responsible for contributing to the achievement of total customer satisfaction by providing high quality and timely service to all internal and external customers.

Shift Hours: 3:15 pm to 12:45 am - Monday thru Friday (Off every other Friday)
- Duties and Responsibilities:_
- Establishes a culture of process discipline where manufacturing processes and procedures are understood and consistently followed by team members.
- Supervises production through effective delegation, leading shift personnel in daily operations to meet production requirements. Schedules and assigns work to regulate workflow and meet required production schedules.
- Ensures that product quality and reliability are maintained throughout the production process.
- Actively participates in the daily management update meetings. Develops and communicates shift performance details based on department metrics and measures.
- Contributes to process improvement initiatives with other departments including suggesting procedural changes in support of production goals and objectives.
- Partners with Management and HR in the effective selection, training and development, and performance management of production team members.
- Manages various employee-related activities including time and attendance, employee relations and performance management. Develops and mentors team members by providing coaching, guidance and training. Create a work environment where employee engagement and participation in improvement is expected and encouraged.
- Working cross-departmentally, applies strong problem solving skills to resolve issues related to production and/or people management.
- Maintains and promotes a safe work environment, and communicates to management any safety hazards and issues. Position may handle hazardous waste and is required to complete required safety trainings.
- Ensures the team maintains a clean and professional appearance of all manufacturing areas.
- Ensures company policies and procedures are consistently being followed as they relate to process, safety, quality and employee management.
- Maintains a high level of professionalism and integrity at all times. Ensures all necessary documents, files and employee records/information are protected and kept confidential.

- Strong knowledge of operations and key performance parameters and metrics, as well as the processes and materials used to manufacture products.
