**Job Description: Chemistry Assessment Reviewer (Grades 6-10)**

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chemistry Assessment Reviewer to ensure high-quality, standards-aligned assessments for Grades 6-10. This is a contractual position with an expected duration of 5 months, with the possibility of extension based on business needs.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Review and refine **40-50** chemistry assessment items per day to ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and mínimal need for further edits.

Align assessment items with learning objectives and principles of Bloom's Taxonomy, **Depth of Knowledge (DoK), and the Cognitive Rigor Matrix.**

Evaluate distractor rationales, hints, and feedback for pedagogical soundness, supporting student understanding and assessment interpretation.

Verify that items meet appropriate difficulty levels and cognitive demands, distinguishing between cognitive load and item difficulty.

Collaborate with the project team and adhere to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Provide detailed revisions and feedback to ensure all content is error-free, scientifically accurate, and suitable for Grades 6-10 learners.

**Requirements**:
**3+ years of experience in reviewing or developing chemistry assessment** items for educational institutions, edtech companies, or related fields.

Familiarity with NGSS standards for chemistry is highly desirable but not mandatory.

Strong understanding of **Bloom's Taxonomy**, **Depth of Knowledge (DoK)**, and the **Cognitive Rigor Matrix**.

Excellent command of the English language, with a keen eye for detail to ensure error-free content.

Ability to work independently from home and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.

Skilled in identifying and distinguishing between item difficulty and cognitive load, ensuring appropriate challenge levels for students.

Knowledge of effective diagnostic assessments and the ability to enhance feedback and distractor rationales for incorrect answers.

Additional Information:
**Contract Duration: 5 months, with the potential for extension.**

**Work Environment: Remote, work-from-home.**

**Expected Output: Review and finalize 40-50 high-quality items per day.**
