**About Us**:
Sacrena is a groundbreaking conscious relationship app combining spirituality and astrology to help users find compatible partners. As we gear up for launch, we are looking for a motivated Backend Java Intern to assist our CTO in enhancing and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our app.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist in designing, developing, and testing backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with the CTO to maintain and enhance existing code in areas like user authentication, profile management, and matching services.
- Work with Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate frameworks to ensure smooth API performance.
- Support database operations using SQL queries and integration with external services.
- Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of backend services.
- Write clear, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Perform code reviews and ensure best coding practices are followed.
- Help with documentation of backend processes and logic.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. You have have a laptop.
- Strong understanding of Java programming.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot and Hibernate frameworks.
- Experience with RESTful API development.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to understand and write clean, maintainable code.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with a small, dynamic team.
- Interest in astrology or spirituality is a plus.

**Preferred Experience**:

- Experience working on real-world Java projects or coursework involving backend development.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture is a plus.
