**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Team Supervision**:
- Lead and supervise the waitstaff, ensuring they adhere to service standards and guidelines.
- Conduct daily briefings with the service team to discuss the menu, daily specials, and any specific guest requirements or reservations.
- Assign tables and responsibilities to the waitstaff, ensuring optimal service coverage during shifts.
- **Guest Service**:
- Greet guests upon arrival, escort them to their tables, and ensure they have a pleasant dining experience.
- Take orders from guests, provide detailed menu explanations, and make recommendations on food and beverage pairings.
- Monitor the dining area to ensure guest satisfaction, address any concerns or complaints promptly, and escalate issues to the manager if necessary.
- **Service Coordination**:
- Coordinate between the kitchen, bar, and service staff to ensure orders are prepared and served efficiently and accurately.
- Oversee the timing of service, ensuring food and beverages are delivered promptly and at the correct temperature.
- Assist with serving and clearing tables during busy periods to maintain smooth service flow.
- **Table Setup and Maintenance**:
- Ensure that tables are set up according to the restaurant’s standards, including arranging cutlery, glassware, and other tableware.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining area, and oversee the resetting of tables between guests.
- **Training and Development**:
- Train new staff members on service standards, menu knowledge, and customer interaction skills.
- Provide ongoing support and feedback to the service team, conducting performance assessments as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
- **Sales and Upselling**:
- Promote daily specials, menu items, and beverages to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Encourage the service team to upsell and recommend additional items, such as appetizers, desserts, and beverages, to guests.
- **Inventory and Reporting**:
- Monitor the inventory of tableware, cutlery, and dining supplies, and notify the manager of any shortages or requirements.
- Assist in compiling daily sales reports and feedback, providing insights on guest preferences, service performance, and areas for improvement.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Proven experience as a Captain, Head Waiter, or similar role in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with a team-oriented approach.
- In-depth knowledge of food and beverage service standards and menu offerings.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and inventory management.
**Education**:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification in hospitality or food and beverage service is an advantage
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
