Job Title: Purchasing and Logistics Executive

Location: Pune, India

Experience Required: 2-3 years

Job Summary:
Main Responsibilities:
1. Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure raw materials, components, and services at competitive prices

2. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company’s production schedules and budget constraints.

3. Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to ensure optimal inventory turnover and availability

4. Coordinate with the production team to forecast material requirements and ensure timely delivery.

5. Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and regularly assess their performance to ensure quality and reliability

6. Plan and oversee the inbound and outbound logistics operations, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution of goods.

7. Optimize logistics processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency, ensuring timely delivery to customers and internal stakeholder

8. Coordinate with shipping companies, freight forwarders, and other logistics service providers to ensure smooth transportation of goods

9. Monitor and manage the import and export processes, ensuring compliance with all regulations and documentation requirements

10. Source and qualify new vendors to diversify the supply base and mitigate risks.

11. Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with vendors to secure favorable agreements.

12. Monitor vendor performance, addressing any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.

13. Maintain accurate records of purchases, shipments, and inventory, ensuring all documentation is up to date and easily accessible

Other Responsibilities:
- 1. Work closely with the production, finance, and sales teams to align procurement and logistics activities with business objectives.

2. Provide support to other departments as needed, ensuring a smooth flow of information and materials across the organization

3. Participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in purchasing, logistics, and export-import.
- Strong knowledge of transport management, procurement, and inventory systems.
- Familiarity with Incoterms, customs regulations, and international trade documentation.
- Good understanding of FIFO and LIFO inventory practices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and logistics software.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
