Job Title: Computer Operator

Location: Bhubaneswar

Reports To: Supervisor/Manager

/Part-time/Contract

Job Summary:
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and control computer systems and data processing operations.

Operate and maintain mainframe, server, or distributed systems.

Initiate and terminate batch jobs, backups, and scheduled system jobs.

Detect and troubleshoot system faults or errors in a timely manner.

Keep logs and records of system performance and downtime.

Collaborate with IT support groups to escalate technical problems.

Execute regular system maintenance and upgrades as needed.

Coordinate data backups and ensure data integrity and recoverability.

Keep documentation for system procedures and troubleshooting.

Implement proper adherence to security measures and company policies.

**Requirements**:
High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in Computer Science or computer science related field is preferred.

Experience in working as a Computer Operator or equivalent.

Understanding of data center environments and IT operations.

Operating system knowledge (Windows, Linux, UNIX).

Understanding of networking and database systems at a basic level.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving.

Flexibility to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays if required.

Preferred Skills:
System monitoring tools and job scheduling software experience.

Knowledge of ITIL practices.

CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or equivalent certification.

Pay: ₹23,607.52 - ₹34,919.32 per month
