**Job Description: Production In charge**

**Job Overview-**The Production In charge in the engineering field plays a crucial role in overseeing the production process, ensuring timely and efficient manufacturing of engineering products or machinery. This role involves coordinating activities related to machine operation, resource management, quality control, and team supervision to meet production targets while adhering to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality expectations.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Production Planning & Scheduling**
- **Prioritize production orders** to meet project deadlines and customer specifications.
- **Monitor production performance** and suggest improvements in the workflow, quality checks, or machinery handling

**2. Material & Resource Management**
- Oversee the **procurement and availability of raw**for the production of pharmaceutical equipment and systems.
- Ensure the **optimal utilization of resources** including machines, tools, and labor.
- Monitor **inventory levels** of materials to avoid production delays, and communicate with the purchasing department to replenish stocks when necessary.

**3. Machinery, Vessels, and Piping Fabrication**
- Supervise the **stage-wise** **fabrication and assembly** of pharmaceutical equipments, pressure vessels, skids and piping systems, ensuring adherence to design specifications.
- Ensure that **fabrication, welding**processes are performed as per industry standards, such as ASME, ASTM, or other relevant standards.
- Oversee the **maintenance of machines**, such as CNC machines, lathes, welding machines, bending machines, buffing and grinding machines.

**4. Quality Assurance & Compliance**
- Ensure that all products (equipments, vessels, piping) meet **GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices)** and other **pharmaceutical industry regulations**.
- Conduct **quality checks** and inspections at various stages of production (material inspection, welding quality, pressure testing, Water/Hydro testing etc.).
- Work closely with the **Quality Assurance (QA)** team to ensure products meet regulatory standards (GMP, USFDA Guidelines).

**5. Team Supervision & Training**
- Supervise the **production team**, including welders, machine operators, fitters and helpers.
- Provide **training to the team** on safety protocols, machine handling, and maintenance procedures.

**6. Safety & Environmental Compliance**
- Enforce **safety protocols** and ensure that all employees work in compliance with safety regulations (OSHA, etc.).
- Ensure the **safe operation** of machinery and equipment, especially for processes involving high pressures or hazardous materials.

**7. Coordination with Other Departments**
- Work closely with the **Design team**to ensure the designs are feasible for production and that any changes are communicated effectively. Coordinate with purchase team to ensure timely delivery of materials required for the fabrication. Coordinate with dispatch team for plan and shipment of finished products.
- Coordinate with project team to ensure that customer requirements are met and to address any production-related concerns.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Educational Qualification**:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related field. A diploma in engineering with relevant experience may also be considered.
- **Experience**:

- Minimum 5 years of experience in production management or supervision, preferably in the Pharma Equipment manufacturing industry.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Strong understanding of Fabrication of pharmaceutical equipment, vessels, system and piping with good knowledge of engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of quality control procedures and GMP standards.
- Awareness of WPS/PQR, Radiography testing, Dye Penetration testing (DPT)/Liquid Penetration testing (LPT), NDT Testing and Welding Types.
- Knowledge of Machining procedures/ methods/std.
- Knowledge of SS fabrication and finishing procedures (Grinding/buffing/polishing)
- Knowledge and handling of Third-Party Inspections (TPI).
- **Soft Skills**:
