**Sample Handling and Preparation**: Collecting, receiving, labeling, and storing samples, ensuring proper handling of potentially hazardous materials.
- **Performing Tests and Analyses**: Conducting experiments, performing laboratory tests, and analyzing results according to established procedures.
- **Equipment Maintenance and Calibration**: Maintaining, cleaning, and calibrating laboratory equipment, ensuring its proper functioning.
- **Data Recording and Reporting**: Accurately recording experimental data, test results, and observations in both written and electronic formats.
- **Safety Compliance**: Adhering to safety guidelines and protocols within the laboratory environment.
- **Technical Support**: Providing technical support to scientists and other laboratory personnel.
- **Stock Management**: Ordering and maintaining laboratory supplies and reagents.
- **Staying Current**: Keeping abreast of advancements in scientific and technical fields.
- **Supervision (Optional)**: In some cases, lab technicians may supervise other laboratory personnel or students.
- **Documentation**: Maintaining logs, record books, and other documentation as required.
- **Data Analysis and Interpretation**: Analyzing data, interpreting findings, and presenting results to senior staff.
- **Risk Assessment**: Conducting risk assessments to ensure a safe working environment.
- **Communication**: Communicating test results and findings with scientists or medical professionals.
- Freshers are currently required
